Pre wedding shoot
If you're a little nervous about having your photos taken of the day, don't panic! You can book a pre-wedding shoot to get you used to working with me and get a feel for being in front of the camera.
People often use these images for invites, and it's also nice to just have images of yourselves not in your wedding dress/attire.
Second photographer
I also offer the option to have two photographers at your wedding. This is particularly useful during morning prep if you are getting ready in separate locations, as we can be in two places at once.
It also means two angles of the ceremony - i.e. close up shots of your vows and big smiles with wider shots of the same moment from a completely different angle and extra coverage of the whole day. Galleries typically end up being 200-300 images larger if you book a second photographer for a full day.
Printed album
Your wedding album is a keep sake that will be looked at far more often than any digital images.
Seeing your wedding photos in print completely changes the feeling they give you and we'll work together to create something truly beautiful that contains your favourite images from your wedding.
This doesn't have to be added to your package at the point of booking, but it's worth thinking about. We can talk about this further down the line, maybe even as a first anniversary treat.
FAQ
How far will you travel to our wedding?
I'm based on the Wirral in North West UK, right on the border between Merseyside and Cheshire - but I will travel to your wedding no matter where it is.
If I need to stay away from home the night before your wedding to avoid the risk of travelling long distance and being delayed - there may be additional travel costs. This applies to any venues over a 2 hour drive from the Wirral.
For international weddings, I'll travel at least a day or 2 before to make sure I'm there for your wedding.
How long does it take to get our wedding photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos around 4-6 weeks after your wedding date. I'll share a small handful sneaky peaky shots on social media within a few days of the wedding and tag you / share as a collaborate post with you - this way the first photos you and your friends see will be amazing and not your mum's samsung phone camera photos - this is also reallllly beneficial for my business and a really important part of my marketing!
How are the photos delivered?
I will email you a link to an online gallery. It's password protected so only you (and your pals) can view it and there is an additional PIN to download. You have full control over who can see/download them.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
The sooner the better, really! Most couples book me around 12-18 months before their wedding but I've even been booked 2 weeks before - so it's always worth asking! As soon as you book your venue - get in touch!
Are you LGBTQ+ inclusive?
Yes. Love comes in all sorts of wonderful forms. My goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for every couple - regardless of your background or identity. Everyone has the right to a kick ass wedding and everyone should feel safe to be their authentic self with their wedding photographer.
Love has no limits, and neither do I. I'm here to tell YOUR story, no matter what it is.
What will you wear to our wedding?
I usually dress as comfortably as I can while still looking presentable - chinos, shirt and converse is standard for me. As the job is pretty physically demanding - Often on my feet for 12 hours, lots of running backwards and crouching and the occasional cartwheel - I just wear what I'm comfortable in. If your event is on the more formal side and you want me to suit up - say the word... and I'll buy a suit.
Do you edit the photos?
Absolutely. The analogy I use is that the RAW photo straight out of the camera is like having a load of lovely fresh ingredients - then editing is like cooking the meal and making it delicious.
Each image will edited with my own preset and unique editing style. They’ll be cropped and straightened, brightened, and colours adjusted/corrected. Then I’ll make any small Photoshop adjustments (like removing specs of lens dust etc).
I'd describe my editing style as clean, timeless and natural with true-to-life colours, subtle warmth and a touch of vintage class.
Will you bring a second photographer to our wedding?
If you want me to! I am more than happy to work alone and fully capable of covering a wedding by myself. However, for larger weddings or couples that want that little bit extra coverage - Will is my go-to guy and we've done loads of weddings together. I have other contacts too if he is unavailable. A second shooter is £350 in addition to your photography package and all the images are still selected and edited by me to give a consistent feel to your entire gallery and album.
Are you insured?
I sure am. £2 million public liability and my gear is covered too.
